Assuming you're using Photoshop 6-10

On the 'layers' menu, double click the text layer
Select 'bevel and emboss' on the menu on the laft side
Play with the sliders until you get the desired effect

Now click 'drop shadow' from the menu on the left side
play with the sliders to make a shadow

Press OK
