Series 4 Episode 2 (The Fires of Pompeii)

Official air date is yet to be announced but it should be some time in May / June.

Synopsis: What has ancient Rome got to do with anything? A quick trip to Pompei when Mount Vesuvius is about to explode. Can they save all the people? Can Donna avoid being sacrificed? Russell says that the monsters in this episode are the most ambitious to date.

I thought it was a great episode. After such small enemies we now get to see something a lot stronger which could actually do some damage. And again, the episode was funny at parts with Catherine Tate playing the role of Donna. At first i didn’t really like the thought of Doctor Who tunrning more comedic but it seems to be going well.

And also i’m failing to remember what those rock creatures were called - did they even have a name?
