Writing Challenge #5 - Now with Winners
I'm doing the writing challenges now, and I'm post a new one every fortnight (hopefully on a friday evening) and so that will give you two weeks to pm me your entry. You can write a screenplay, story, play, poem, song, or any other piece of text that actually makes sense and fits the topic. Each person can only enter once, and these are the points you'll get:
1st prize: 200 points
2nd prize: 100 points
3rd prize: 50 points
Other entries: 25 points (but it actually has to contain some effort)
The first topic will be:
1. Write an article about an important person and what they do during a certain event. This person can be made up, and so can the event.
Good Luck, you've got one week left, they're due in on 8th Feburary.

There was once a man named bob. One day, Bob decided he would go to a Yugimonz tournament. He put together a cheap perfect circle monarch deck (http://en.allexperts.com/q/Yu-Gi-Oh-3315/Perfect-Circle.htm) and set off. When he got to the first round, he dueled some random guy who's name makes no difference whatsoever. And lost. Thankfully, this was an official tournament, so it used swiss rounds. In round two he dueled some guy who is also utterly unimportant and lost. After 3 more losses, Bob started getting angry. He went into the bathroom and took steroids. After losing another duel, Bob realized that he was playing a card game and muscle mass meant absolutely nothing, so he said "This story sucks" and left. And now, for your very brief entertainment, a stupid little dialogue:
Bob: This story sucks. I'm using perfect circle monarchs. They always do well in tournaments.
Me: Has it ever occured to you that you suck at the game?
Bob: And now you're insulting my skillz at a card game. F*** you b****
Me: Whatever. I'll just continue the story with jimmy.
Bob: He's on vacation.
Me: Crap. Sam?
Bob: Out sick.
Me: Damn. Eugene?
Bob: Wedding.
Me.: Screw this *goes to a bar and hires some prostitutes*
