Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Chapter Background story

any of you guys know of Warhammer 40,000? i play it quite a bit and made a background story to my Space Marine Army, the Steel Hawks.

the story is copied and pasted from the word document i wrote it in, the last part at the bottom are the "traits" that my army have, and refer to some special rules... doesnt matter if you know them or not, just there in case any of you do know what they are Wink

Steel Hawks

The Steel Hawk’s story begins at the planet Tartarus. After being sent there as backup for the Blood Ravens .However due to engine trouble they were unable to escape the Warp storm that had closed in on Tartarus. This storm crippled their ship, and scrambled most of their systems. They set a course for the nearest planet that hadn’t been wiped or damaged in their computer systems – Kronus.
When they arrived they found remnants of several bases on the surface and Traces of the Blood Ravens, but no signs of life. They set down at an Imperial airstrip to investigate and make repairs to their Battle Barge. Scout teams were sent to investigate the Xeno remains, but contact was lost with them all. Eventually a Larger, Strike team was sent out but within 3 days, all radio contact was lost or muffled by static and the screams of terror, with gauss explosions in the background.
On the dawn of the 4th day, on the horizon a large black and green metal structure could be seen. As this cumbersome metal beast approached, hundreds upon hundreds of skeletal metal, warriors could be seen at its base, marching towards the Steel Hawks. Necrons…
The Steel Hawks took their chances, they had vowed to vanquish the Emperors foes, and that is what they would do. They stood their ground in a valiant fight for their lives at the bay, as only minutes into the fight there was a huge Gauss explosion and chunks of searing hot metal was sent in all directions. Librarian Veltantine Agamenon, the Commander of the Steel Hawks turned to see their Battle Barge, reduced to shrapnel. It was no longer a fight to vanquish the God-Emperors foes; it was a fight for the future of the Chapter.
They fought meter by meter, inch by bloody inch, making sure that for every foot of ground they lost they made the Necrons pay; but one by one the Marines fell, unable to withstand the oncoming tide of the skeletal Ancients. It explained why there were no longer any traces of life on this forsaken Planet. There was a huge explosion of Gauss and a Necron monolith phased itself into the midst of the fighting, unfortunately for Veltantine right into him, fusing the upper half of his body with the Living metal.
With no leaders left alive for the chapter, things looked pretty grim. Suddenly there was a huge plasma explosion and the towering Monolith stopped hovering and plummeted into the ground. A dozen Hammerhead gunships swooped down from above and Devilfish transports landed, dropping dozens of Fire Warriors onto the surface of the planet, supported by Gun and Shield Drones. Battlesuits jetpacked down from above and Kroot leapt from the small amounts of woodland that survived on this battle scarred terror. Within minutes the Necrons realised that the battle could not be won, they phased out back to the tombs from where they came.
The Tau informed the Steel Hawks that the Imperials before them used to call the area in which they had fought “Victory bay” and after that day’s event, it had redeemed itself of that name after being the home of so many defeats before. The Survivors of the battle were the only remaining members of the Steel Hawks Chapter. The Chapter had been reduced to less then 30 members in one battle against the Ancient Necrons, and were only still alive due to the Tau. They now roam the Galaxy with them, slowly repaying their debt, and seething to avenge their fallen brethren on that Planet, Kronus.

Due to the Heavy losses they Suffered at the battle at Victory bay the Steel Hawks have had to resort to Guerrilla tactics as their lack of numbers would severely impede a full-on battle, therefore they have taken the trait “See, but don’t be seen”

The Steel Hawks believe deeply in their faith in the Emperor, they are “Faithful unto Death”

After being almost overrun completely by the Necrons, the Steel hawks have become used to close quarters fighting as the Necrons marched, relentlessly, over their positions. They “Take the fight to them”

The Steel Hawks wish to recover their former glory as a Chapter. They “Aspire to Glory”

That's a pretty good, and long, background story! I know there's at least 2 other members on the board who play it and one of them is at level 60 which is pretty high too...
